The Zimbabwe
Women's Resource Centre and Network (ZWRCN) is an information based
feminist organisation with a focus on building knowledge and promoting
gender equality and women's rights at all levels. It does
this through collection, analysis, processing and dissemination
of information.
It has an Information
Centre which houses gender and development information. It also
has always provided the following products and services for its
users:
- Reading materials
(books, journals, newspapers, newspapers clippings among others.)
- Study space
- Audio-visual
materials (DVDs, CDs and CD-ROMs)
- Photocopying
services.
- Reference
services
Internet
Café
ZWRCN is moving
on with technology to boost information access. It now has an Internet
Café which is up and running. The Internet Café's
main objective is to enhance information access through modern technologies.
The Internet also serves to facilitate research and communication.
Internet Café
opening hours:
Monday-Thursday
0830-1600
Friday 0830-1200
Lunchtime Closed between 1300 and 1400
Weekends and Public Holidays Closed
It is only
$1 for an hour. The Internet Café is located at the ZWRCN
information Centre: 171 Fife Avenue/7th Street, Harare.
New
Acquisitions
The Information
Centre has acquired new resources to add on to its collection of
gender and development resources. These resources are accessed at
the ZWRCN Information Centre located at 171 Fife Avenue/7th Street,
Harare.
