WCoZ
wins the Betty Plewes Award
WCoZ is proud
to inform its membership, stakeholders and funding partners that
it won this year's Betty Plewes Award after being short listed with
organizations from Mali and Zambia. The Fund was created by the
Canadian Crossroads Iinternational (CCI) Board of Directors to honour
the contribution made by Betty Plewes while President - CEO of CCI.
The purpose of the Fund is to award an African non-governmental
organization engaged in research and policy development on issues
of priority to women. WCoZ received the award for its role and contributions
to the passing of the Domestic
Violence Act. The award recognizes our combined efforts as a
network in lobbying, advocating and raising awareness of the Domestic
Violence Act.
