The Kubatana team was recently in Cape Town deploying Freedom Fone at the Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID) 2008 Forum.

In addition to the conference, the team participated in a demonstration against violence against women organised by the One in Nine Campaign. We made a short video of photographs and chanting from the demonstration. This video was shown at the Feminist Tech Exchange Hub and at the final plenary of AWID.
