Protest the commodification of women in advertising

Say NO to advert that commodifies womenIT Resources, a company in Harare, has been placing advertisements in national newspapers with the headline - Virgins! Yebo! - together with an image of two men approaching a young woman. IT resources offer a sum of money for "virgin used laser toner cartridges".

In Zimbabwe

  • we currently faces one of the highest HIV/AIDS infections;
  • advocacy groups are working hard to reduce the cases of child abuse and rape;
  • young girls are continually at risk from "sugar daddies".

This commodifying of women must stop.
