Read Internally displaced people living like animals in Harare

This is what most people have been calling home since the clean up hit Harare. The houses are made of pieces of scrap metal and asbestos

Firewood is widely used for cooking. A woman makes her way home from collecting firewood

Some of the residents have resorted to crushing rubble and recycling bricks and granite stones from the destroyed homes which they resell to people building houses

These children stand outside their kitchen, they no longer go to school
