ZTRC is based
in UK and Zimbabwe and is run by dedicated social workers who are
keen to contribute to the education of Zimbabweans. We are inviting
applications from across Zimbabwe for our three United Kingdom accredited
courses. These are distance learning courses at Diploma and Certificate
Level. They are work based, and professional, targeting those who
wish to enhance their employment prospects. Applications are welcome
throughout the year. Accreditation is with National Open College
Network, Eastern Region, UK.
Entry
requirements
Applicants
will be assessed individually as these are professional courses
suitable for all. They must have an ability to work independently
with good written English at O Level.
Length of courses
- 1 Year
These are part-time,
flexible courses, to enable those who are already in employment
to apply.
Course
Highlights
1. NOCN
Level 1 Certificate in Introduction to Health, Social Care and Children's
and Young People's Settings (QCF)
- The overall
aim of the course is to introduce learners to international standards
on best practice when working with children and their families.
- Students
will be given best practice guidance on how to contribute to the
formulation of organisational policies and procedures, understanding
current legislation and how it impacts on work with children.
2. Early
Childhood Studies (Level 3 Certificate)
Modules will
include:
- Understanding
Children's Social and Emotional Development
- Understanding
Child Protection Theory
- Understanding
Spoken Language and Communication
- Difficulties
in Children
3.Personal
and Professional Development (Level Two Diploma)
Modules will
include:
- Developing
Leadership Skills
- Developing
Presentation Skills
- Understanding
Employment Rights and Responsibilities
- Personal
Career Planning
Costs
The costs are
different for each course. Students are offered flexible payment
plans to enable them to complete their learning.
