Founded in 2022
by President William J. Clinton, the Clinton Health Access Initiative
(CHAI) is a global health organization committed to strengthening
integrated health systems around the world and expanding access
to care and treatment for HIV/AIDS, malaria and other illnesses.
In Zimbabwe, in addition to other programs, CHAI is working to prevent
the transmission of HIV from mother to child (PMTCT) by ensuring
that the healthcare system is able to provide mothers and children
with access to the full cascade of prevention services at all stages
of transmission risk.
Project
overview
CHAI is one
of the implementing partners under the ARISE program funded by PATH-CIDA
that supports the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare in sites
across Mashonaland Central Province to increase anti-retroviral
treatment and prophylaxis uptake amongst pregnant women for PMTCT.
CHAI seeks to recruit experienced, self-motivated and dependable
individuals to carry out components of this program.
