  • The Youth Assembly to launch Vote Yes campaign
    MDC Youth Assembly
    November 09, 2012

All is set for The MDC Youth Assembly's launch of its Vote Yes Campaign under the theme My Voice is in, My Vote is Yes on the 10th of November 2012 at Maungwa Business Center in Gutu South. This will be followed by another rally at Ruwangwe Growth point in Nyanga North on the 11th of November 2012 and a marathon of youth activities countrywide to sensitise and mobilise all young people to support the COPAC draft constitution.

After a successful 2nd All Stakeholders Constitutional Conference organized by COPAC held at HICC from the 21st to 23rd of October 2012, the Assembly will scale up the Vote Yes Campaign with a youth perspective that was launched by President Tsvangirai in September this year.

The two consecutive programs will start at 1000hrs, with a plethora of activities lined up. The deputy president of the Youth Assembly Costa Machingauta will deliver the keynote speeches. He will be accompanied by the National Youth Spokesperson Clifford Hlatywayo and Solly Chipfumo the Assembly's Secretary for Mines.

As young people we are content that this constitution form a concrete foundation and will go a long way in creating a constitution that fulfils the wishes and aspirations of our people's quest for a free and prosperous Zimbabwe. We therefore urge the people of Zimbabwe to adopt this draft as representing the views of the people gathered through the outreach programme.
