Rest in peace great fighter of people's freedom, mukoma Diamond Karanda

The MDC Youth Assembly is deeply saddened by the death of a great fighter of our nation. Diamond Karanda one of the young founding members of the people's party, MDC. He is one of our own freedom fighters.

Karanda became the first secretary for security for the MDC Youth Assembly. He was a brave and determined young man. He was results oriented commander. Mukoma Diamond is a victim of ZANU PF brutality. On several occasions, he was illegally arrested, detained and brutalised. As a committed activists, he remained strong and focused in fighting for jobs, food, good governance, rule of law, education, health, peace and people's freedom.

MDC Youth Assembly salutes your love for your nation, your efforts to attain a New Zimbabwe and your courage in leading the young people in this struggle for a free, democratic and prosperous Zimbabwe. Your dreams shall come true mukoma, we are there. We will finish it!

As young people of Zimbabwe, at this time of sorrow, we would like to extend our sincere heartfelt sympathy to the Karanda family, friends, relatives, MDC family and the rest of the nation, hoping we will find comfort in our memories and strength from those who share our sorrow.

Our thoughts and prayers continue to be with all, and will overcome this moment of grief. We do share their grief, the unimaginable pain.

We pray to God Almighty to bestow them with a choicest dwelling in the heaven and grant patience and courage to the family to sustain these great losses.

Go well mukoma Diamond. We will definitely finish it!

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
