MDC's Mashonaland Central Provincial chairman dies

The MDC's Mashonaland Central provincial chairperson, Mr Biggie Chigonero, has died.He died last night at a Harare hospital and funeral arrengements will be announced in due course. The MDC will always remember Mr Chigonero as a staunch pillar of the party; a veteran campaigner for democracy, especially in Mashonaland Central province where he worked hard for many years campaigning for change and democracy. The party joins the Chigonero family in this moment of grief. We assure them that the loss is not theirs alone as the party and the nation have lost one of the staunchest fighters for peace and democracy in Zimbabwe.
