Violence flares up in Mudzi
Movement for Democratic Change
March 12, 2010

Zanu PF thugs have gone on a rampage in Mudzi, Mashonaland East province forcibly taking livestock from MDC supporters and accusing them of being in support of the people-driven Constitution-making process.

Reports received by the MDC Information and Publicity department from Mudzi district, show that MDC supporters in Mudzi, have their livestock in particular cattle, goats and chickens to Zanu PF hooligans.

According to an MDC Mudzi district official, scores of MDC supporters at Chimukoko village have lost their livestock over the past week to a known Zanu PF gang.

Reports over the theft have been made at Mudzi Police Station but no action is being taken by the police.
However, if the MDC supporters try to protect their livestock from looting, they are being arrested on false claims of being the perpetrators of violence.
