MP Hon Dube dies

The MP for Emakhandeni
- Entumbane in Bulawayo, Hon. Cornelius Raphael Essalph Dube,
has died.
Hon. Dube, 45,
died on Saturday from respiratory complications at Mater Dei Hospital
in Bulawayo.
Mourners are
gathered at House Number 3000 Entumbane and Hon Dube is expected
to be buried in Bulawayo on Wednesday.
He was born
on 19 August 1964 at St. Joseph Mission in Matobo, Matebeleland
South.
After finishing
high school, Hon. Dube studied for a City and Guilds of London Institute
Certificate in Electrical Engineering. He later obtained a diploma
in Business Administration Studies with the Zimbabwe Institute of
Management (ZIM).
Hon. Dube joined
the MDC in 2000 and was elected the chairperson for Vukani branch
in Pelandaba constituency in 2001.
In 2002, he
was elected the councillor for Ward 11 for Bulawayo City Council
and was re-elected in 2003. During his period as a councillor, Hon.
Dube served as the council chairperson for the Engineering services
committee.
He was elected MP for
Emakhandeni-Enthumbane constituency in the March 29 2008 parliamentary
election.
