No weapon formed against His people shall prosper
Lawrence Chimunhu
December 02, 2012

I did not see it necessary for Kunonga the leader of the other faction of Anglican Church to hide behind the finger. The truth of the matter is he was or is being used for political gains by other politicians, according to my understanding of this whole saga it started in 2005 shortly after Murambatsvina for the then government tried as much as possible to sweep everything under the carpet, they find out that most displaced people were seeking refuge at churches so the government connived with dirty priests like Kunonga to get rid of those people.

They came up with a plan after meeting resistance from other priests and church leaders that-s when Kunonga and company began this homosexual mantra that him and ZANU PF have taken this to a level of national urgency whilst taking that to attack whoever have different views from there-s labeling them gays and lesbians. The question is does that mean in his camp and in that of his masters can we not find gays if we search thoroughly, of course we will, because of the nature of the issue at hand we can-t really say we have eradicated all the gays because of certain laws and policies imposed.

In our Zimbabwean case the law, culture and all the religions are against this practice but in the dark we have people doing this and it-s hard for us against it to stop this because I believe in most cases these people are demon possessed, so if Kunonga was truly a man of God he couldn-t have let the church be divided about such an issue that can be given a holy petition. As a Christian I vehemently believe the most high God can solve any situation no matter how delicate, so Kunonga was wrong on that move for even if he knew members involved by names as an ordained man of God I am quite sure he was taught the principal of protecting privacy and only believe in prayer. What is interesting now is how stupid the man appears in public now and not now only but the man always was full drama I remember in 2010 after being invited by a friend to his church we attended in Hillside and believe me that man is full of drama. He just entered the church and I could see from the people-s faces that they were expecting something unforeseen from their former bishop for they knew him better and he didn-t disappoint. He find himself a seat near the alter and he sat attentively but without wasting time soon after the preacher had started preaching , he just stood up and started removing the cloths from the alter violently with tears on his face, that-s when I realized that this man needs divine help ,himself not what he said about others.

And on his political side some members of his affiliated party rejected him from day one and they walked with Bakare. So a big lesson that can be learned from this whole saga is no matter how hard we try intimidate people or any God-s creature, his eye won-t be closed and definitely he always find a way to get back to you and in most cases it will happen in broad day light or in the public eye just to make you pay for your evil deeds. Surely Kunonga had his own time to play around with the people imagine what he did at Shirley Crips how he harassed the orphans who were supposed to be protected by him. Truly speaking that man deserves hell but above all, I am happy that at last justice prevails even though there are still some of his relatives who we hear are doing evil things like poisoning the fruits and water at church premises, I am not worried much though because the holy hand have touched its children and protected them once again. Though I am not a member of Anglican church but today I find time to attend their service at Saint James in Mabvuku i was truly blessed by the service as it was a moment of celebration they sang celebration songs. Even though some Zanu PF youths lead by the party-s commissar for Harare province women-s league Mrs. Tshuma came trying to destabilize the service but god-s will prevails and the mass went according to plan. So to all the Christians around the world let-s remember; Jesus Does.
