VMCZ statement on the first anniversary of ZiFM stereo radio station
Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe

The Voluntary Media Council of Zimbabwe (VMCZ) Board Chairperson, Alec Muchadehama joins the rest of the media fraternity in Zimbabwe in congratulating ZiFM on the occasion marking its first anniversary broadcasting to Zimbabweans.

During the past twelve months, ZiFM has worked to establish itself as one of the radio station of choice in Zimbabwe providing a platform for a diversity of voices to be heard in all its broadcasts.

VMCZ commends ZiFM for its commitment to serving the people of Zimbabwe through objective and balanced reporting.

The VMCZ acknowledges the professionalism and integrity the radio station has carried out its mandate since inception in 2012 and VMCZ reaffirms its commitment to support and work with ZiFM in achieving a professional media environment and improving journalism standards in the country.

The VMCZ wishes the staff and management at ZiFM a happy anniversary and urges the team to continue with providing balanced reportage and entertainment to the people of Zimbabwe.

The VMCZ looks forward to many more years of close association with ZiFM in the years to come as we continue to build a professional, balanced, diverse and pluralistic media in Zimbabwe.
