Prophet Uebert Angel versus the Daily News adjudication - Wednesday 18 July 2012

The VMCZ Media Complaints Committee (MCC) has set the matter between Prophet Eubert Angel and The Daily News for a hearing on Wednesday 18 July 2012 at 9:30 am at the VMCZ offices, 38 Harvey Brown in Milton in Harare where both the Daily News and Prophet Angel will appear before the committee.

Prophet Uebert Angel filed a complaint with the Media Complaints Committee over an article published in the Daily News of 29 May 2012 headlined "Makandiwa Ally attacks TB Joshua".

According to Prophet Angel the article alleged that Prophet Angel attacked Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua during one of his sermons.

Prophet Angel alleges that the article is false, misleading and defamatory. Prophet Angel wants the Daily News to publish an apology.

The Daily News however published in full a letter of complaint written by Prophet Angel. Prophet Angel however feels that his letter of complaint published in the newspaper does not constitute an apology.
