Four journalists arrested
MISA-Zimbabwe
July 15, 2011

Four Bulawayo-based journalists were on 15 July 2011 arrested in Ntabazinduna while covering a story on a police officer who was reportedly being evicted from her house on grounds of her alleged political affiliation to the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T).

The four journalists are; The Standard reporter, Nqobani Ndlovu and freelance journalists Pamenus Tuso, Pindai Dube and Oscar Nkala. They are currently detained at Ntabazinduna Police Station.

MISA-Zimbabwe Media Lawyer Network representatives have since travelled to Ntabazinduna to try and establish the nature of the charges being preferred against the four.

MISA Zimbabwe is following up on the developments of the case and will update you on the details as they emerge.
