Launch of new TV station delayed
MISA-Zimbabwe

The launch of a new television station (National Television) has been further delayed despite the fact that the installation of transmitters has been long finished. The television station was expected to be launched in November 2004.

NTV, a subsidiary of New Ziana is et to occupy the space once used by former ZBC TV 2 and later Joy TV. Joy TV was closed in 2002 after the former ZBC now Zimbabwe Broadacsting Holdings refused to renew its licence.

According to The Herald The executive officer for the channel Noel Sibanda did not give an explanation for the delay. He only assured viewers that by Sunday the channel will be on air.
