Service delivery update week ending 18 August 2013
Combined Harare Residents Association (CHRA)
August 21, 2013

Social service provision became erratic soon after the harmonized elections. Residents are complaining that there is constant load shedding on a daily basis for more than 6 hours during critical hours in areas like Glen Norah- ward 27, Glenview, Warren Park, Sunningdale, Hatfield, Mbare and Mufakose ward 36. Refuse has not been collected for the past two weeks in many suburbs in Harare namely Mbare Musika and Dzivarasekwa. The waste management department said that there was no fuel for the past weeks for them to operate. In addition, water supply has also dwindled in areas like Waterfalls (Mainway), there is no water again for the past two weeks though in some Suburbs like Mufakose, Warren Park, Glenview and Mbare the supply is erratic.

We encourage residents to report any cases of service delivery failure to us via our website which can be accessed on www.tauratinzwe.org.
