Harare service delivery update

  Water Electricity Sewer outbursts Refuse collection Diarrheal diseases
Mabvuku Water supplies are only available during midnight. Load shedding for more than 15hrs a day. None reported. Refuse is being collected and council has failed to provide bins for residents for the past 3 months. Every week approximately 50 residents are treated for diarrhea at Mabvuku polyclinic.
Mufakose Water is available. Load shedding for less than 5hrs a day. None reported. Refuse is being collected. None reported.
Highfields Water is available but has a brownish color. Load shedding for 15hrs a day. Scattered cases. Refuse collection has not been consistent for the past 1 month. None reported.
Mbare Water is available. Normal electricity supplies. None reported. Refuse is not being collected at Mbare National and Musika areas None reported.
Dzivarasekwa Water is available. Load shedding for 12 hrs in areas 1 and 3. Scattered cases in area 2. Refuse has not been collected since the beginning of March. More than 1000 residents have been treated of diarrheal diseases at Rujeko clinic in March alone
Kuwadzana Water is available. Normal electricity supplies. Sewer outbursts in ward 37 and 38. Refuse is being collected. Scattered cases in areas 1 to 6.
Westlea Water is available. Load shedding for 15hrs a day. None reported. Refuse is not being collected; residents are dumping refuse near Nkwisi Gardens Shops. None reported.
Budiriro Water is available. Erratic electricity supplies. None reported. Refuse has not been collected for the past 2 weeks None reported.
Belvedere Water is available. Load shedding for 15 hrs a day. None reported. Refuse is not being collected. None reported.
New Chadcombe Water is available. Normal electricity supplies. None reported. Refuse is being collected. None reported.
Mainway Meadows No water supplies on Monday and Tuesday. Load shedding for 5hrs a day. None reported. Refuse is collected every week. None reported.
Borrowdale Erratic supplies. Normal electricity supplies. Sewer outbursts are attended to on time. Refuse collection is not regular. None reported.
Hillside Water is available but with low pressure Load shedding for 15hrs a day. None reported. Refuse has not been collected for the past 2 weeks. None reported.
Glen View Water is not clean. Load shedding for 6hrs a day. Sewer outburst along 1st drive. Refuse has not been collected for the past 3 months. Scattered cases.
New Marlborough Water is available. Load shedding for 15hrs a day. None reported. Refuse has not been collected for the past 2 weeks. None reported.

N.B: Five thousand and thirty six (5036) residents have been treated for typhoid in Harare since the outbreak.
