Disaster
looms at Tsholotsho District Hospital mortuary
Bulawayo
Agenda
November 11, 2010
There is disaster looming at the Tsholotsho District Hospital
mortuary. Allegations are that bodies are decomposing at the mortuary
despite having a generator donated to it by Medicins Sans Frontiers
(MSF). Reports say there is a dispute between committee members
of the hospital some saying the generator should be used to provide
power to staff houses while a few saying the generator should be
used on what it was donated for-the mortuary. The generator is sitting
idle at the hospital.
War Vets in
the Bule area of Tsholotsho are allegedly making it difficult for
the councillor (MDC-M) to do his duties. The War vets are reported
to be disrupting meetings called by the councillor of the area.
In the Mbambangamandla area in Tsholotsho War Vets also called a
meeting with war collaborators prior to a public meeting called
by Tsholotsho Agenda. However, the agenda of the meeting is unknown
as the war collaborators were told to keep it secret. The Tsholotsho
Agenda Public meeting went well without any disturbances.
