chased away by community members - The Daily Agenda

Mashonaland West - Community members chased COPAC outreach
teams away arguing that they must come in the company of police
officers for security reasons. It is said that community members
felt that the presence of police officers would reduce incidences
of violence during the consultation as this province has a history
of violence such as that of 2008.
Hwange
- Outreach teams are said to be stranded in Hwange as they
do not have fuel and allowances to travel to the meeting points.
They said that they are still waiting for the resources, which also
include cameras and voice recorders, from Bulawayo since yesterday.
Residents are still wondering if the process will start as the teams
seem not to be informed about the goings on.
