lose homes in Mabvuku http://www.chra.co.zw/viewinfo.cfm?id=80&linkid=3&siteid=1 Residents in Mabvuku woke up to the sound of hammers and shuffling feet today as residents heeded to the call by the regime to destroy structures. " we heard that the police will be moving in to destroy our homes from the grapevine." said one resident, " the people were told that the police will move in yesterday at the bus terminus on fourth street in town" When we visited the area at eleven in the morning residents had done a greater part of the demolition themselves. No one dared to think what would become of them after they had demolished their homes. One resident, a father of six expressed his predicament; " I am Malawian by origin. I cannot go back to my country and I have no one else to turn to. I have been turned destitute." We will be bringing
you pictures on the destruction of the houses. Tune in to SWRADIO Africa
on Medium Wave 11.9 metre band from 0500-0700hrs for more on the situation.
If you want to make a difference in the lives of the residents so affected, please give us your details and we will be happy to contact you.
