is hereby notified that the Ministry of Transport, Communications
and Infrastructural Development has, in terms of section 81 of the
Road Traffic Act [Chapter 13:111, made the following regulations:
1.
(1) These regulations may be cited as the Road Traffic (Construction,
Equipment and Use) (Amendment) Regulations, 2011 (No. 1).
(2) Section 1(2) ("Title and date of commencement")
of the Road Traffic (Construction, Equipment and Use) Regulations,
2010, published :in Statutory Instrument 154 of 2010, is amended
by the deletion of "1st of December, 2010", and the
substitution of "1st of July, 2011".
(3) Section 5(1) ( "Width of motor vehicle or trailer")
is amended by the deletion of "1st December, 2010",
and the substitution of "31st October, 2011".
(4) The proviso to section 5(2) ("Width of motor vehicle
or trailer") is amended by the deletion of "1st of December,
2010", and the substitution of "31st October, 2011".
(5) Section 10( 2) ( "Steering system") is amended by
the deletion of "31st March, 2011", and the substitution
of "31st October, 2011".
(6) Section 18(4) ("Lamps: motor vehicles other than motor
cycles") is amended in the proviso thereto by the deletion
of "31st March, 2011", and the substitution of "31st
October, 2011".
(7) Section 65 ("Type approval of motor vehicle") is
amended in the proviso thereto by the deletion of "31st March,
2011", and the substitution of "31st October, 2011".
