APPROPRIATION
AMENDEMENT BILL 2010
BILL
To apply a sum of money for the service of Zimbabwe during the year
ending on the 31st December, 2010.
ENACTED
by the President and the Parliament of Zimbabwe.
1 Short title
This Act may be cited as the Appropriation (2010) Act, 2009.
2 Interpretation
In this Act—
“Estimates of Expenditure” means the Estimates of Expenditure
for the year ending 31st December, 2010, submitted to and passed
by the House of Assembly;
“Vote” means a vote appropriation for the year ending
on the 31st December, 2010, as specified in the Estimates of Expenditure.
3 Consolidated Revenue Fund charged with US$2 078 681 000
The Consolidated Revenue Fund is hereby charged with such sums of
money as may be required for the service of Zimbabwe during the
year ending on the 31st December, 2010, not exceeding in aggregate
the sum of two billion, seventy-eight million six hundred and eighty-one
thousand United States dollars.
4 Application of moneys granted
Subject to section 24(5) of the Audit and Exchequer Act [Chapter
22:03], the moneys appropriated shall be applied to the services
detailed in the Schedule and more particularly specified in the
Estimates of Expenditure
5 Power
of Minister of Finance to authorise transfers between Votes
(1) Where, in the case of any moneys appropriated by section 3 in
respect of a particular Vote set out in the Schedule which are to
be applied in terms of section 4 to any particular service specified
in the Estimates of Expenditure, the administration or provision
of such service is assigned to a different Ministry, the Minister
of Finance may direct that any portion of the moneys appropriated
in respect of the first-mentioned Vote be transferred to such other
Vote as relates to the Ministry to which the administration or provision
of the service concerned has been assigned.
