Ncube replaces Zvobgo

WELSHMAN Ncube, the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) legislator for Bulawayo North, has replaced the late Eddison Zvobgo, as the chariman of the Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Portfolio Committee.

Ncube, who doubles as the secretary-general of the main opposition party, assumed the main the chairmanship of the committee last week when parliament resumed seating after a month-long recess.

The other members of the committee are Kumbirai Kangai, the ZANU-PF Member of Parliament (MP) for Buhera South and Innocent Gonese, the MDC legislator for Mutare Central.

ZANU-PF is yet to elect a member to fill the void in the committee left by the death of Zvobgo.

Meanwhile, the MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai, has appointed Priscilla Misihairambwi-Mushonga the opposition party's new shadow minister for foreign affairs.

Misihairambwi-Mushonga, the Glen Norah Member of Parliament, replaces the late Moses Mzila-Ndlovu the legislator for Bulilimamangwe.
