Finance
& Administration officer - ROKPA Support Network

are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill
the above-mentioned position within the ROKPA Support Network ZIMBABWE
(RSN). The position is based at ROKPA Centre - Harare and s/he reports
to the Coordinator.
The
Key Result Areas (KRAs) are:
- Financial
Accounts and controlling of petty cash
- Keeping
an up to date register of the Rokpa Support Network assets
- Making payments
to creditors and procurement of goods
- Filling
of organizational correspondences and documentation
- Making bookings
for meetings and workshops
- Complying
with practices on administration, reporting and cooperation between
Rokpa Support Network and Rokpa Trust of Zimbabwe
- Active participation
in teambuilding and co-operation with Rokpa administration staff

out at Rokpa Buddhist center.
Experience,
Academic and professional qualifications
The candidate
should posses at least the qualifications and experience stated
below:
- At least
5 "O' level passes
- At least
a Higher Diploma in Accounting or related area
- Experience
using PASTEL accounting a prerequisite
- At least
1½ year accounting experience
- Clean class
4 driver's license with experience a distinct advantage
- Excellent
computer skills especially the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience
with the National Action Plan (NAP) for OVC Programme of Support
(PoS) guidelines an added advantage

Policy
Advocacy Development Adviser - National Association of Non Governmental
Organisations (NANGO)

The National
Association of Non Governmental Organisations (NANGO) is the nationally
recognised umbrella body that coordinates and represents the NGO
sector in Zimbabwe. NANGO's major role is advocating for a
positive and enabling operating environment for NGOs, facilitating
civil society input into policy processes and enhancing their participation
in social, economic and political development programmes. As the
country enters a period where multi-sectoral reforms are envisaged,
NANGO, working in collaboration with the Institute of Development
Studies (IDS) at the University of Zimbabwe, would like to strengthen
its capacity in facilitating civil society's participation
in the ensuing reform processes and provide well researched and
informed policy options to decision makers. Progressio seeks an
experienced development worker (DW) to work as a Policy Advocacy
Development Adviser to support NANGO in this member based policy
advocacy project. His/her role will be to assist NANGO in developing
member mobilisation, coordination and communication frameworks through
which civil society organisations will effectively engage with and
contribute to the reform process under the banner of NANGO. The
DW will coordinate joint policy analysis and review by member organisations
of NANGO and the IDS through to development of targeted policy communication
in the form of policy briefs, monographs and seminars. Policy areas
to be looked at in this project will include, but not be limited
to, the following: a) the economy and development strategy; b) land
as an economic resource, agrarian reform and food security; c) the
role of civil society and faith-based organisations in development;
d) security, justice and reconciliation; e) health, including HIV
and AIDS, f) education; g) gender, Women and Youth; h) employment,
skills and labour; i) the media; j) constitutional and electoral
reforms, and k) migration and the Diaspora.
You should have
a first degree and/or postgraduate qualification in policy studies,
development studies or any other relevant social science discipline;
a minimum of three years' proven work experience in a public
policy advocacy role; proven experience in training/facilitation
methodologies and direct experience of training - as it pertains
to social development programmes. You should also have proven experience
in programme design (including conceptualisation, training manuals
design, planning and management); relevant experience in, and the
ability to train people in: a) policy research, b) research methodologies,
c) policy monitoring and tracking, d) development of alternative
policies / strategies, e) parliamentary engagements, f) policy communications,
g) regional and international engagements, h) policy analysis, and
i) social mobilisation.
Proven skills
in policy research, advocacy and campaigning; understanding of the
importance of policy processes in shaping the nature and direction
of development; sound knowledge and understanding of development
and related policy issues facing Zimbabwe; good understanding of
civil society and non-governmental organisations and networks engaged
in advocacy; sound political judgement and the ability to engage
and deal with sensitive issues with a variety of audiences, including
Parliamentarians, media and civil society, and good interpersonal,
communications and writing skills (to publication standard), including
the ability to communicate complex issues in an accessible way are
also essential. Willingness and ability to work as part of a team
and to share skills; well developed gender analysis and commitment
to mainstreaming gender in all areas of work; good command of English
(both spoken and written); fluency in Shona and/or Ndebele, and
willingness to undertake road travel in Zimbabwe are all essential.
A Masters' degree in policy and development studies with inclination
towards research, policy analysis and development; previous involvement
in development policy or public policy advocacy; proven competencies
in project planning and management, and a driving license are highly
desirable.

Qualifications
- Relevant

- Substantial
experience in financial management of monitoring of projects
- Budgetary
responsibility in an international environment
- Competence
in use of financial software applications
- Experiences
with institutional donors
- Strong interpersonal
skills, attention to detail, discretion and high integrity
- Excellent

programmes by applying 4 ICCO strategic roles in the programmatic
approach: strategic financing, advocacy and lobby, capacity building
and brokerage.

- Assess programme-
and project proposals
- Review audit
reports of projects and follow-up of recommendations
- Provide
input to the financial planning, monitoring, capacity development
of programmes and projects
- Control,
evaluate and monitor ongoing contracts with local partners

with other relevant actors in the region

to learning, linking and coordinating research and knowledge

to strategic policy development and to the development of the
regional plan

Qualifications
- Educational
background social sciences plus knowledge in one of the 3 main
themes:
- Fair
economic development (value chains; access to local and international
markets);
- Access
to basic services (food security; education; hiv/aids, water
and sanitation);
- Democratization
and peace building.
- Advanced
knowledge of programme and project formulation, accountability
requirements.
- Experience
with funding of programmes and projects
- Experience
with multi-stakeholder processes and institutional donors
- Good knowledge
of economic, social and political situation in the region
- Excellent
language skills in English (French and / or Portuguese an is added
advantage)
- Relevant
experience of assessment and analysis of project/programme plans.
- Negotiation,
networking, facilitation and communication skills.
