Police on Tuesday 4 October 2011 arrested Solomon Madzore, the Movement for Democratic Change Youth Assembly chairperson and detained him at Harare Central Police Station, where they interrogated him about the murder of Inspector Petros Mutedza.

Madzore's lawyer, Gift Mtisi of Musendekwa and Mtisi Legal Practitioners confirmed the arrest of Madzore whom he said was being interrogated by the police led by Detective Chief Inspector Clever Ntini from the Law and Order Section at the Harare Central Police Station.

The arrest of Madzore brings to 27 the total number of Glenview residents and MDC members who have been arrested and charged in connection with the murder of Inspector Mutedza, who lost his life in Glen View on Sunday 29 May 2011.

Eight Glenview residents have since their arrest been detained in prison after High Court Judge Justice Tendai Uchena dismissed their bail applications.
