  • Memory Mabhikwa (Bindura University of Science Education)
  • Bolivia Mabwe (Chinhoyi University of Technology)
  • Eustina Macheka (Bindura University of Science Education)
  • David Makacha (National Unviersity of Science and Technology)

In November-December last year, SAYWHAT announced the "Call for Proposals" under the HASP Research Challenge in which students were asked to submit research proposals and SAYWHAT will be supporting the students financially and technically in carrying out the research.

The HIV/AIDS Support Project (HASP) is being carried out by SAYWHAT in partnership with OXFAM Canada and is being implemented in four colleges, namely, Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT), Bindura University of Science Education (BUSE), Kushinga Phikhelela Farmer Training Centre, and Hillside Teacher Training College. The project seeks to enhance the provision of youth friendly services on Sexual and Reproductive health and ensuring the meaningful participation of young women in SRH Leadership and Advocacy.

SAYWHAT would also want to congratulate Mr David Makacha for winning the "My Voice My Power Poster Design Competition" a project which seeks to tape in the expertise of students who can design a poster that addresses themes like Positive Living (including Hope for Students living with HIV and AIDS), Promotion of uptake of Sexual and Reproductive Health services and commodities as well as Behavioural change to reduce the vulnerability of students, Equal participation of young men and women (gender equality and equity) and its relationship to Sexual and Reproductive Health.

We continuously encourage students to participate in our programs and help build a gender just nation with students who enjoy their reproductive health and create vast opportunities for themselves in the process.
