Update on gender community mobilisation
Padare/Enkundleni/Men's Forum on Gender
November 06, 2009

All roads lead to Buhera as Padare/Camfed continue to engage communities on gender justice

The Padare/Enkundleni Men's Forum on Gender/Camfed wagon is heading for Buhera this weekend where two sensitisation meetings will take place Gaza and Chapwanya.

There are mother support groups as well as fathers support groups in Buhera that are working in the promotion of gender justice. These two meetings will major on sensitising these communities of such instruments as the Domestic Violence Act that seeks to protect the rights of women and children.

Chief Murambinda and Headman Chapwanya who are both Padare chapter members are expected to grace the occasion. This meeting follows a similar one that has been held at Murambinda Growth point and now the team is getting deeper into communities long neglected in as far as lobbying and advocacy in communities is concerned.

The Padare Community Advocacy Officer, Mr Paul Carries Juru will lead the Padre team that has Mr Obert Chigodora, the schools program officer, and from Camfed Mr Mande will lead the pack.
