Friday 2 October 2009. The celebrations started at 10 am till 3

who dedicated the day to commemorating the good work that Padare
has been doing at the School.

saw students and staff participates in the celebrations.
Padare/Enkundleni,
Men's Forum on Gender is operating in fifteen high schools
around Harare where the main thrust is to encourage male involvement
in the realization of a gender just society.
These clubs
have been of great importance as quite a number of people have benefited
and reports have indicated a greater number of people that have
become sensitive to gender issues. This will help to reduce the
number of abuses at schools, homes and as these youngsters mature
into adults in their own homes.
Meanwhile under
the same schools programme, Padare launched the report on the victimization
the boy child faces titled, The Boy Child's Voice: A Dimension
to Children's Rights, Sexual Abuse, Reproductive Health, Gender
Based Violence And The Impact Of Hegemonic Masculinities On The
Boy Child In Zimbabwe, at Holiday Inn Bulawayo.
This report was commissioned
by Padare and save the Children Norway. This was a follow up to
the Harare launch at Mukuvisi woodlands.
