Condolence message on the death of Mrs Eileen Sawyer

The Board, Management, Staff and the entire membership of Zimbabwe Election Support Network (ZESN) join other Civil Society Organisations in mourning the sad passing of seasoned human rights defender Mrs. Eileen Sawyer.

Mrs. Eileen Sawyer's contribution to the democratic cause in Zimbabwe dates back to pre-Independence culminating in her work with the Legal Resources Foundation and the Zimbabwe Human Rights NGO Forum. ZESN cherishes her selfless and determined fight for the respect of human rights.

ZESN offers its sincere condolences to her family, friends and colleagues in Civil Society during this trying time.

May her soul rest in eternal peace.
