The Zimbabwe Electoral
Commission announced the last batch of House of Assembly results
today. Out of the 206 seats contested, the MDC (Tsvangirai) won
99 seats, ZANU PF 97 seats including 1 unopposed, MDC (Mutambara)
10 and Independent 1. There are 4 seats that were not contested,
1 seat was won unopposed while the other three were deferred to
by-elections after the passing away of three contesting candidates.
ZESN will continue to observe the electoral process to its conclusion
and issue additional statements and updates as appropriate.
