The SADC Principles and Guidelines Governing Democratic Elections enunciate principles for conducting democratic elections and guidelines for the observation of elections .The SADC Principles also outline the responsibilities of member states holding elections. It is these standards to which governments have committed themselves voluntarily that ZESN wishes to hold the Zimbabwe Government to review the electoral framework and environment ahead of the 2008 Election.
