Judgment date set for ZINASU activist
Students Solidarity Trust
July 17, 2012

ZINASU student activist Pride Mkono appeared before a Harare magistrate Masinire today the 17th of July for the continuation of his trial. The defense witnesses Tinashe Mutimbanyoka and Tinashe Chisaira were cross examined. Initially Pride was facing charges of public violence which were later merged with malicious damage to property and assault. He is facing charges of public violence emanating from the disturbances that rocked the UZ Student Executive Council election. The latter charges were brought about by the UZ Security Guards'.

The judgement date has been set for the 31st of July.

Prosecuting is Mr Mukumbiri and the defense lawyer is Mr Masiye.
