Four NUST students appear in court
Students Solidarity Trust
May 03, 2011

Four National University of Science and Technology (NUST) students appeared before a Bulawayo Magistrate this morning. The four David Mushawani, Beven Nyamande, Ernest Makoni and Duncan Mombeshora are facing charges of participating in an illegal gathering with intentions of causing public violence. The allegations emanated from a demonstration by NUST students in 2010. Meanwhile the case has been further remanded to the 9th of May as state witnesses failed to turn up. The student Solidarity Trust (SST) believes that judicial reforms are the only panacea to the current backlog that has jammed our courts. Students should not spent most of their time in courts but in colleges and universities.
