Two ZINASU leaders remanded again in custody
Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU)
October 15, 2010

Samson Nxumalo and Archfod Mudzengi appeared again before the Bulawayo Provincial Magistrates' Court on charges of contempt of court. The two were then remanded in custody until the matter is finalized. The two student leaders had no legal representation when the court session commenced today at 11:15am and it is most likely that they will not have representation on the 2nd of November 2010 unless something is done.

These student leaders have gone through this rough terrain for participating in an NCA organized demonstration which resulted in them being arrested. Students in Bulawayo booed the decision but to no avail. Nomore Mavhenganise the Hillside Teachers' College President said it is up to us as students to let our fellow comrades rot in prison when there are avenues to ensure that the two will see the sun again.

The Bulawayo Province student leaders have pledged to fight for the release of the two vibrant student leaders who have made and are still making meaningful contributions in the struggle of the emancipation of the Zimbabwean student.
