National Executive Council (NEC) unearths skillful fraud
Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) (Chinyere)
January 25, 2010

The Zimbabwe National Students Union National Executive Council (NEC) has unearthed a massive scam of skillful fraud possibly linked to the Central Intelligence Organisation and sustained by a clique resisting the winds of change within the state security. In an audit and ongoing investigations NEC has discovered that Blessing Vava is a skillful fraudster who: deliberately presented false credentials as a bona fide student at ZINASU's 6th bi-annual congress and in so doing skillfully misled delegates into voting (a vote now a nullity) for him. NEC can now reveal that Blessing Vava had completed his diploma in 2006, 2 years prior to that congress. At no time was he expelled from the college yet he was President of that institution an achievement uncharacteristic of Presidents of that time which all raises eyebrows. The net has closed down on this skillful fraudster. NEC is now consulting its lawyers to institute civil and criminal proceedings against this skillful fraudster who defrauded ZINASU of both tangible and intangible benefits by skillfully masquerading as a student.

NEC once reiterates that the foiled attempt to split ZINASU was a state security managed ploy by hardliners resisting the winds of change and still bend on futile attempts to destabilize progressive forces. This act of implanting state informers within the student body is not new but what is shocking is the audacity to implant a non-student and therefore full time agent whose sole mandate was to ensure a ZINASU split agenda, a move now crumbling like a deck of cards. The idea of a non student was a mastermind to ensure that the implant would have all the time as exhibited by the vibe, enthusiasm and daily energy of Blessing Vava toward that foiled Vava-state agenda. As NEC we concede that within itself ZINASU has always had differences in opinion, strategy and so forth but none ever fostered the idea of a split bound by the common denominator of being students.

We also advise fellow colleagues to be aware of infiltrations by hardliners within the state as the darkest hour is before dawn. The Vava-state skillful ploy was also meant to destabilize other civic organisations and ultimately the Prime Minister's office as evidenced by the strategic and consistent reference to respected officials in that office. The propaganda was characteristic of the state run Herald newspaper ahead of the MDC split in 2005. Blessing Vava, a skillful fraudster, was even allowed unlimited access to the state archives as evidenced by some of his yesteryear struggles publications.

As it is glaringly clear ZINASU would like to advise the entire students body, sister organisations, partners, the region and the entire world that we disown Blessing Vava as a former student leader as he was never a student at any time during his time as a skillful fraudster. Not even a night magistrate can confirm that Blessing Vava, a skillful fraudster, is a former student by virtue of this indisputable fact. It takes all three ingredients, former, student and leader to make a former student leader and none of skill and fraud. Thank God ZINASU has weathered the storm and we apologize for a small moment of lapse that could have cost a nation.
