    Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU)
    February 05, 2008

ZINASU to stand for Parliamentary seats come March 2008
Resolute student struggles against the sitting government of Robert Mugabe took a paradigm shift in year 2000 that saw great student leaders standing for office in Parliament, the likes of Learnmore Judah Jongwe (late), Tafadzwa Musekiwa (asylum), Job Sikhala (astray), and Nelson Chamisa (resolute). The strategic shift envisioned support and representation of students' interests at National level.

However, a students' communiqué released after congress, mandated ZINASU to support former and current student leaders for representation in house of assembly in forth coming harmonized March Election and disown those who have lost students interest.

In the above regard, ZINASU urges all students in Zimbabwe to register to vote and subsequently VOTE on Election Day, speak and be heard. It is further our role as the students union to influence our respective communities of the value, importance and need to participate in the election process.
No more blame game, get involved.

Be wary of ZANU PF discouraging strategies, the regime has sinister tendencies of making sure the students are not were they are registered to vote and even make it very difficult for students to register citing the issue of proof of residence, unfounded technicalities. Against all odds, let us all go in our numbers and contribute towards Zimbabwe's socio-economic and political reform.

    Clever Bere
    President
