We are together: ZINASU Tells ZCTU
Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU)
September 18, 2007

The Zimbabwe National Students Union (ZINASU) Union fully supports the stay away which was called by the Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Unions (ZCTU). The students will boycott lectures and classes tommorrow and on Thursday in solidarity with their striking parents.

The national students formation would also like to counter-warn the police and the notorious Central Intelligence Organisation (CIO) to respect the workers right to strike as a fundamental human right. An attempt to unleash barrack gangsterism on the peace loving workers will not go unchallenged but will trigger more demonstrations and civil unrest. The students, like any other right thinking Zimbabwean are fed up with the continued misrule by the government of the day.

The national threefold crisis of deepening poverty, social disintegration and democracy deficit forms the solid basis for our 100% support and participation in the national stay away.
