  • 15 Students still in ruthless police holding cells

    15 Students and one driver are reported to be still in the ruthless police holding cells. ZINASU has learnt that 10 students who were arrested together with the opposition and civic leaders at the Save Zimbabwe Campaign prayer meeting are still in police holding cells. The students were and are still being denied food and legal representation. Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights are still making franitc efforts in getting the students released.

    Yesterday the 13th of March 2007, saw the arrest of ZINASU leadership and two Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition employees, taking the total number to sixteen detainees. The arrested are expected to appear in court today.

    Meanwhile, Morgan Tsvangirai and other opposition, civic and student leaders, were all released in the custody of their lawyers. They will be notified by way of summons.
