    February 15, 2007

The Zimbabwe National Students Union, ZINASU President, Promise Mkwananzi; University of Zimbabwe Students Union Secretary General, Maureen Kademaunga; Students Christian Movement of Zimbabwe Chairman, Lawrence Mashungu, have been further detained at the Harare Central Police under unclear charges.

The three are to appear in court on the 16th of February 2007. However, the other detainees have been today released on fine, amongst them are, the National University of Science and Technology, NUST SRC President, Clever Bere and Bulawayo Polytechnic College SRC President, Blessing Vava.

The released students have since been taken for a rehabilitation process, citing the unfit and inhabitable holding cells at the Harare Central Police Station.
