Suppression
of students voices continues
Student Christian
Movement of Zimbabwe (SCMZ)
June 14, 2006
Dear comrades
The Student
Christian Movement of Zimbabwe has been denied the right to march
in commemoration of 'The day of the African Child. For no apparent
reason the Zimbabwe Republic Police in Harare and Chinhoyi have
refused African (Zimbabwean) Children their right to commemorate
this significant day in the manner they wanted. This adds on to
the long list of rights which students are being denied.
The right to
- Education
for all through the increase of fees
- Health
- Transport
- Freedom of
speech, expression and association
It is therefore
necessary to come together to fight for our right and defy unjust
laws.
