Governor re-appointed

The President Cde Robert
Mugabe has re-appointed Dr Gideon Gono as Governor of the Reserve
Bank of Zimbabwe with effect from the 1st of next month.
In a statement Minister
of Finance Dr Samuel Mumbengegwi said the appointment follows the
expiry of Dr Gono's first term of office on the 30th of this
month.
Minister Mumbengegwi
said Dr Gono's re-appointment is for a period of five years;
beginning on the first of next month to the 30th of November 2013,
as provided for in terms of Section 14 of the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe
Act Chapter 22:15.
He congratulated Dr Gono
on his re-appointment.
