Food Aid: main donor response to food crisis that broke in 2002

  • 2002 on: large-scale Food Aid,
    • organised through WFP and CSAFE,
    • distributed by NGOs
  • Only to Communal Lands
    • not resettled ex LSCF areas
    • & eventually some to urban areas
  • Detailed work by Vulnerability Assessment Committee (VAC)
  • Targetting & distribution reasonably accurate & fair
