Douglas Mwonzora MDC-T spokesperson
This is a dead Cabinet. It will definitely make no improvement to the lives of Zimbabweans. It is the same old people who have been recycled. Zimbabwe is headed for disaster.

Simba Makoni Mavambo/Kusile/Dawn leader
First impression is that this new Cabinet is not surprising. He (Mugabe) has kept faith in his old guard. He has also re-affirmed his patronage by keeping a huge Cabinet. There is no new blood of any significance which may meet expectations or make a difference.

What is also very significant is that no second Vice-President has been named (to replace John Nkomo). The absence of the Minister of State in the President’s Office is also noteworthy.

Kurauone Chihwayi MDC spokeperson
There is nothing to celebrate, there is nothing new. What we have witnessed is the recycling of the same garbage in the same dump yard. This is the same dead wood. These are the same people with a history of failure. We have the same people with a dark past with some linked to corruption. We cannot expect miracles, this is the worst Cabinet.

Ibbo Mandaza
The Cabinet announced by President Robert Mugabe has no surprises. The same people have been brought back. He has maintained the establishment.
