    Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition

    As the counting progresses, results coming out from Bulawayo and Matebeleland South so far indicate that most people voted in favour of the draft constitution. Find below some of the results;

    Northlea High school (Bulawayo)
    132 cast
    114 yes
    12 no
    6 rejected

    Thelamanzi (Umzingwane)
    244 voted
    209 yes
    31 no
    4 rejected

    Dukwi Tent (Tsholotsho South)
    253 voted
    213 yes
    36 no
    4 rejected

    There was a significant increase in the number of people who were arrested by police during the referendum from midday up to the evening. Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights provided legal assistance to several people who were arrested and subsequently detained as they exercised or attempted to exercise their right to vote during the referendum.
