ZINASU
calls for solidarity with 29 MDC activists on trial
The president
of a revived Zimbabwe
National Students Union (ZINASU), Pride Mkono has condemned
the politically motivated trial of 29 MDC activists including MDC-T
Youth Assembly President Solomon Madzore on trumped
up murder charges saying democracy is on trial.
He called upon
the pro-democracy movement to come out in solidarity with the activists
whose trial at the Harare High Court us currently underway.
Mkono further
stated that a re-branding ZINASU is geared to mobilize students
and the youths to vote in their thousands in elections that must
be free from military interference and monitored by SADC and the
AU to ensure they are genuinely free and fair without violence.
