Introduction

  • Medium Term Plan is a key output of a strategic planning process that was initiated in 2010.
  • The process began with a broad-based stakeholder consultation exercise which involved visits to locations in all ten provinces conducted in early 2010, leading to the development of the 2011-2012 Interim Education Strategy.
  • In early 2011 the Government of Zimbabwe published its Medium Term Plan 2011-2015, with ambitious targets for the Education Sector.
  • This provided an impetus for the education sector to build on the Interim Plan and prepare a full Education Medium Term Plan for 2011-2015.
