ZDDT makes inroads into broadcast media
Zimbabwe Development Democracy Trust
January 20, 2012

In a clear sign that exhibits the effectiveness of the initiatives and interventions of ZDDT, its National Development Officer, Simon Spooner, was recently invited to an interview by the State-run radio station; S FM.

The interview, which took place at Bulawayo's ZBC Montrose studios last Friday, was conducted by S FM producer/presenter, Simbarashe Jagada and is expected to be broadcast next week on Thursday (26.01.12).

"ZDDT produced fliers to create awareness and this supports all our activities. We invite participation through the distribution of such information. In this case ZBC's Sport FM picked up one such pamphlet rallying residents to a Community Action Drive in the City of Bulawayo."

"As a consequence, they contacted our offices and an interview was arranged and conducted. We would like to thank him (Simbarashe Jagada) for assisting us promoting the restoration of the City of Bulawayo through the mass media at his disposal," said Mr Spooner.

When contacted for comment, Mr Jagada was excited about the arrangement and the initiatives of the Trust. "The interview was very good and I am going to air it next Thursday. I got to know about their involvement in the city when I picked a flier they had distributed and I discovered that they (ZDDT) are doing a fine job," he said.
