    Crisis in Zimbabwe Coalition
    June 15, 2011

The bail application for MDC-T National Executive member, Last Maengahama, Cynthia Manjoro, and 21 others who stand accused of murdering a police officer in Glenview could not be heard today at the High Court because Justice Uchena said he needed time to go through the Attorney General's response. The bail application was adjourned to tomorrow the 16th of June 2011 at 1130hrs.

The delay in the hearing of the bail application clearly indicates and proves that the Attorney General's Office through Prosecutor Edmore Nyazamba is making efforts to ensure that the accused remain in custody for a long period of time.

The bail application is about the liberty of the accused and so should be treated with urgency. Justice delayed is justice denied, show solidarity and support attending the court hearing sessions.
